Weatherbys CEO and Chairman make Spear’s Power List 2024

We are thrilled to announce that Quentin Marshall and Roger Weatherby have been recognised as two of the 100 most influential people in the world of private wealth in Spear’s Power List for 2024.

The Spear’s Power List honours the leading executives, entrepreneurs and ‘powerbrokers’ who influence the world of private wealth and the lives of the wealthy. It highlights those whose impact extends beyond direct client relationships, showcasing the heavyweights who shape the industry behind the scenes.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Quentin Marshall, who took over the reins from Roger Weatherby and is a previous winner of Spear’s UK Private Banker of the Year, makes the list. Since stepping into the CEO role in September 2023, Quentin has ensured the Bank’s seamless path of continued growth, while remaining true to the values that have underpinned the Weatherbys family business for more than 250 years.

With an illustrious private banking career behind him, Quentin has been with Weatherbys Private Bank since 2015, having joined from Coutts where he had been Head of Advisory within the investments team, deputy chairman of the Bank’s Investment Strategy Committee and Executive Director. Before Coutts, Quentin worked for UBS Wealth Management, where he helped create the UBS Family Office Group.

Our chairman, Roger Weatherby, features in Spear’s Power List 2024 too. Roger served as Chief Executive from 2000 until 2023 during which time the Bank’s assets grew from less than £50m to £1.7 billion. After a six-month sabbatical, Roger, a long-term prominent figure in the banking and racing industries, returned as Chairman in early 2024 to continue his family’s deep association with the Bank. Roger is also the driving force behind the Bank’s influential Creating the Future programme, which stimulates discussion on critical challenges we face and underpins our commitment to addressing important societal and environmental issues.

The Power List is published by Spear’s, a wealth management and luxury lifestyle magazine, described as a cross between Forbes and Vanity Fair. It is created for the affluent financial services community, including the bankers, lawyers and family offices who advise the wealthy.
