Corporate and social responsibility
Making a positive impact
We believe that running a successful, growing business is about more than performance; it’s about being a good corporate citizen and contributing to the wider good.
We’ve been committed to giving back since our very early days. By creating jobs and supporting local economies, we play an active role in the communities we work in. We encourage and support our colleagues to get involved with causes they care about, whether that’s through volunteering or charity partnerships. This spirit of social awareness runs through every part of our business: our employees, our clients, our professional connections and the suppliers we chose to work with.
Together, our collective efforts continue to improve lives, strengthen communities and make a meaningful difference.
Sustainability and the environment
We know that our long-term success depends on us acting responsibly, not just in how we service our clients but in how we care for the world around us. That’s why we have a clear set of principles to guide us in all we do.
In every area of our business, we promise to:
- Reduce consumption
- Waste less and recycle more
- Choose materials that are recycled or sustainable
- Reduce greenhouse emissions
- Turn our commitment into action
The Weatherbys Charitable Foundation
In 2007, we established the Weatherbys Charitable Foundation to support a range of UK-registered charities making an impact locally, nationally and internationally.
In 2023 we changed the name to The Creating the Future Foundation to better reflect our values and commitment to environmental, social and economic wellbeing. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, our focus is clear: planet, people, and prosperity. Our mission is to promote a better world by advancing ideas, funding innovation and supporting initiatives that drive long-term impact.
In 2024 the Foundation partnered with four charities, chosen by our staff and spanning the UK: Alzheimer’s Research UK, Rock Trust, City Harvest and The Daylight Centre. Each one will be supported for a minimum of two years with annual funding from the Foundation, fundraising activities and volunteering. Over the first year, we donated more than £100,000 to the four charity partners, volunteered more than 450 hours and supported 35 students through our partnership with Local Village Network.
That same year, more of our staff than ever volunteered their time. They mentored disadvantaged young people, washed potatoes, donated food, planted food and delivered food to communities in London. They built sheds, weeded gardens, weighed sugar and collected egg boxes. In doing so, they raised awareness, worked together and made a huge impact.
Creating The Future
We think the best ideas often come when different perspectives meet and that lively debate can bring about genuine breakthroughs. With that thought, in 2018 our Chairman Roger Weatherby initiated Creating the Future, our platform for exploring the world’s most pressing and promising issues. A flagship conference and series of events, it brings together leading minds to share ideas, challenge assumptions and shape what’s next across the topics of health, planet, technology and society.
From conflict resolution to climate change, regenerative medicine to AI, Creating the Future creates space for real conversations, connections and for ideas to grow. It also sees our role as trusted adviser become something more: a commitment to shaping a better future for generations to come.
