The annual awards held by Citywealth recognise the excellence of young professionals (those under 40) in furthering their careers through their ambition, leadership qualities and communication skills. Winners were decided by a mix of judges’ votes and an online public vote.
Bertie joined Weatherbys in 2012 from university and today provides clients with bespoke advice across their lending, investment, and day-to-day banking needs. Despite being based in our London office, Bertie’s network of clients, which includes landed estates, business owners and entrepreneurs, spans the whole of the UK. He is also helping to grow the Private Bank’s presence in the Northwest, following the opening of the Manchester office in 2022.
Oliver Barnett, Head of Private Clients at Weatherbys Private Bank, says: “This is fantastic news and richly deserved. Bertie is a highly regarded banker, not just by his colleagues and peers, but by his clients and fellow professionals. I am thrilled that he has been recognised in this way by such a wide and diverse audience.”
Bertie added: “I’m delighted that through this, Weatherbys has been recognised at the 2024 Future Leaders awards – especially considering the quality of the competition and clear global players in the private banker categories. There is a great team behind and alongside me, so it’s humbling for us to be acknowledged in this way.”
